Fanlisting Collective Update
- Changed the layout for my Fanlisting Collective. The old layout was…too fat X_X
- Adopted the fanlisting for one of my most favorite oneshots, Hybrid Child by Nakamura Shungiku. Thanks Saya! ;3

Thanks for all the C-pop recommendations given to me on the previous post! I’ll be looking into all of the artists and songs recommended. :3

So school has started and things are pretty busy for me already (in a good way!) so I won’t be able to blog as much. :(

All of my professors this semester seem awesome so far! Judging from the syllabi’s and their lectures, all my professors all seem challenging and I truly believe I will be learning a lot this semester. I love earning my grades. When grades are just handed to you, it’s so pathetic smh Anyway, I’m aiming for a 4.0 this semester (again)! Wish me luck! I wish all of you guys luck in your school year too! Work hard! 加油~! x3

What’s really amazing is that I have at least one acquaintance in all my classes, which I found really fascinating, being that my university is huge and that it wasn’t planned out -_-? It’s awesome nonetheless, heh.

I’d say my most interesting class this semester is Philosophy: Metaphysics, the 3rd and final Philosophy course I’m required to take. It’s the class with the most textbooks, readings, note-taking, testing and thinking but it’s so interesting! nods Did you know that the definition of metaphysics is: the study of the structure of reality. Awesome, ain’t it? ;P

Second would have to go to Chinese, since that’s the class (aside from my major course) that I need to and want to retain as much as information as possible. I have some decent looking classmates in that class as well TwT I’m learning pinyin…Chinese pronunciation things. ^_^ I found these two videos extremely helpful, so check them out if you want to learn Mandarin! Pinyin song and 聲母韻母歌.

My least anticipated class is probably Theology: Intro to Protestantism. My Theology professor is old and lectures on. and. on. the. whole. 1hour. and. 15minutes. :x He’s really, really boring and time goes by really, really slow in that class…I guess I’m comparing him to my Theology professor last semester, who made Theology so frikkin awesome (and had a hawt Irish accent ;) ) Don’t get me wrong; my Theo prof this semester is a nice, fair guy but compared to my other classes, his class is the most boring X_X Good thing there’s a lot of note taking in that class or I’d fall asleep! o_O

What is YOUR most favorite class this semester? :)
I was just listening to Woe, is Me‘s cover of Ke$ha’s Tik-Tok. How do you think it feels like “Waking up in the morning feeling like P Diddy?” LOL

Life among the clouds

Fanlisting Collective Update
- 1 new fanlisting for the Dark Magician (Yu-Gi-Oh!)

Love Love Network Update {Edit: Aug 25}
- I’m looking for some hostees! Subdomain hosting is now open! Click here for more information!

Have you ever looked up at the sky on one of those gorgeous days where the sky is infinitely blue and the clouds look soft and fluffy?

Have you ever thought to yourself,

What would life be like among the clouds?

Call me a weirdo, but I have thought that to myself many, many times. Especially when my emotions and things in my life get the best of me. It gives me an unbelievable sense of tranquility. When I ask that question to myself, I don’t exactly ponder how it’d be for me living up there but more of like, people living up there, looking at me, down here.

When I put myself in their shoes, looking down at me, a tiny grain of sand among billions, I can’t help but shrug off my frustrations, complications, and stress because those things are even tinier. I’m not saying that my problems are completely insignificant but it’s like me vs. the universe. If I pop a vein in my head from anger and die, what would good would that do?

As humans, we are innately selfish to some extent – or as my dad calls it: driven by self interest. The challenge is controlling that self-interest and implanting the concept of the world doesn’t revolve around me into our minds. It’s not easy controlling the greed of wanting to be significant and important, engraving our tiny existence into the people and things around us. But you have to face and accept that fact. People that constantly run away from it will only humiliate themselves forever.

That’s reality.

I admit, it’s tough facing it at times. I used to run away from it, making a big fool of myself but with the help of some friends, I turned that bad experience into one that would benefit me. When I start to lose grip of my place in this world, letting my emotions take over my consciousness, I look up at the sky. Up at the clouds, it is a world of it’s own. A world unbounded by the chains of time and fate. I watch the clouds gently float above me…those clouds that never stop to observe the ugliness and disintegration going on down here…and taking a deep breath, continue on with my day…

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fanlisting Collective update
- 1 new fanlisting: Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.
- I plan on changing Eudai’s layout soon…ah so lazy XD

I just finished Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 2 days ago and…WOW. For those who aren’t into anime, you should start with FMA. Both anime remakes of the manga have my highest recommendation. It’s my #1 favorite anime of all time, hands down (I put FMA & FMA Brotherhood together since they’re both pure, concentrated awesomeness). The manga is just as good too.

I don’t wanna bore people with a plot summary, so you can read about FMA here.

While watching, I laughed and cried as the storyline and characters tugged on my heartstrings. T^T The 1st FMA anime was more depressing than the manga/FMA: Brotherhood but both FMA / FMA: Brotherhood have left heavy impressions on me. Most importantly, however, FMA gives the viewer the option to think about the human condition, forgiveness, and life in general. It also give the viewer the option not to think, meaning that thinking isn’t completely necessary to enjoy the show since it is highly entertaining and emotionally gripping as is.

Words cannot describe the impact the FMA series has had on me. I can go on and on and on about how awesome it is but I wont. xD Watch it for yourself if you’ve got nothing to do or something; but make sure you finish it because it is at the very end, after following the adventures of the Elric brothers, Colonel Mustang, Hohenheim, and the other characters, that you realize how beautiful and genius FMA – no, life – really is.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (orignal Japn w/Eng subtitles)
Story: 10/10 – heartwarming, philosophical, unique, action packed, funny, superb plot development and twists.
Dialogue: 10/10 – got lots of awesome quotes from it. amazing voice acting.
Characterization: 10/10 – amazing character development and in general, awesome characters.
Animation: 10/10 – vivid, beautiful, makes the mood perfect. HQ stuff XD
Entertainment: 10/10 – you will laugh, smile, and cry (not always tears of sadness XD )
Overall: 10/10 – my #1 fav XD It has everything you want in an anime.

Where to find FMA anime / manga downloads & streaming:
Fullmetal Alchemist (Manga) download or read online
Fullmetal Alchemist (2003): download: 1 2 or watch online: 1 2

A lesson without pain is meaningless. That’s because you cannot gain something without sacrificing something else in return. But, once you’ve withstood the pain and overcome it, you will gain a heart that is stronger than everything else.
Yes. A fullmetal heart.
